Pterocaulon pycnostachyum is an ative, winter dormant, perennial wildflower. It is naturally found in upland habitats. It's unique blooms aren't showy but are very attractive to small bees and butterflies. It reaches 1-2 feet high and wide. Plant in part to full sun and average to dry soil.
